    Hello,

I have a Smeg DC08 BL which I think has a borken ventilated heating element. I have tested the other cooking modes; lower heating element and ventilation, grill element and ventilation, grill element, upper and lower heating element. These all appear fine, however the ventilated heating element on its own produces no heat, the fan works fine. I understand that the process to swap it over is not too bad, ie take out the old put in the new . I also read on another post that you may need to get at it from the rear has anyone done this with the type of cooker I have or is it standard practice to have to get at it from the rear? Also does anyone have the part number?

    D08CBL?

    Element to fit is HERE.
General fan oven element info is HERE.

Your element is retained by two nuts from the back and a screw from the front.

    Power off first……….
