Hello. I’ve searched the forums but can’t find this fault anywhere…

I have an Indesit IS70C Condenser dryer that isn’t condensing. It heats up fine, the drum spins fine and the clothes dry (although a little slower than when new) but there is never any water in the collector tray. I’ve checked the pipework at the back and can’t find any blockages and there is never any water leaking onto the floor.

This place seems to be a mine of knowledge so I’m hoping someone has an idea.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark.

Ps. It’s also noisy as hell but I see that fault has been covered before.

    clean the condenser out

behind the flap , undo the 3 clips and pull it out

itll be full of fluff…. if you cant se through the vents, it cant dry!

Sorry, should have said, the condenser unit is perfectly clean. Also, sometimes there is water collecting at the back of the condenser unit.

then u need to check the drain hole between th rear of the condenser and the pump

if u remove the pump (the plastic housing on the rear at the bottom) the drain hole is to the left, at the bottom

in any event, make sure the plug is out

Pull out condenser, remove side panel (left panel if you look from the front)and shine a torch inside where the condenser should be, put your hand in too and remove any sludge, the hole is very small and doesn’t take much to block it
