Hi
I had this problem not long ago. Changed motor still no go , then found on fan duct at the back there is a thermal fuse and a thermostat with 4 connections the motor feeds through middle part of this stat . Changed both and machine has been working Ok for 4 weeks now , in a nursing home , so gets a lot of use.
Part no should be 481925228095 thermal fuse
Part no 481928248311 thermostatMike

think some of those have a microswitch on the belt pulley that cuts the motor if the belt fails. Could possibly have a problem there.

Been back to check thermostat & Toc all ok. feel it may be the start switch, which must in turn activate a relay (somewere) but not sure how to test this part, or were relay is suituated. can anyone help please. John

The relay is integral with the start switch and is straight forward to test.
The most likely cause of the symptom described is the TOC inside the motor which will reset itself when the motor cools down.
The four terminal thermostat only controls temperature.
The two smaller terminals are a small heating resistance which makes the thermostat open more frequently when low temp is selectedHope this helps.

Steve, thanks for your reply, as I have fitted a new motor and its free running and with no load, cant see any reason why the internal TOC should activate.

There should be a circuit diagram hidden inside the cabinet usually under the control panel. 😉
Should be easy to follow.Good luck
