Long story short I have a Zanussi IZ16S with a PCB that has shorted. You can select the programs all as normal but nothing happens and as soon as you power the machine on you can hear the drain pump going.
So I ordered a new one from a large online retailer and it hasn’t worked. A quick phone call to Electrolux reveals it isn’t quite the right board (it’s for an IZ16).
I’ve been left with the only option of ordering one from Electrolux and they only come un-pgrogrammed. I know the code but what I need to know is can I program it myself from the user interface or will I need to call out an engineer?

you can, but youll be lucky if theres anyone prepared to dish out that info to ya
might be best if you called someone out….
In that case does anyone know any engineers that can?
I’ve read elsewhere that you can program them by using the control panel buttons and sending it into service mode but it wasn’t too clear.

Understand our position here. The Forum Rules (if anybody ever bothered to read them) specifically state that we cannot disclose manufacturers technical information, so your initial enquiry was not an answerable question.
This information is always subject to copyright issues and this site is read by all the manufacturers, very few of whom wish us good will…. All they need is an excuse.
However, as a member of the Public, should you feel the urge to post up your link to the info for the benefit of future readers, I won’t delete it. Helo and I, as professionals, can’t publish that info.
