Hi all, Ive got a DeDietrich hob model DTI704, customer complaint is that the two right rings stopped working and F came up beside both on/off touch pads. It has reset itself after a period. Customer was using the back right whilst using the worktop to the right of the front right hob.

    Any ideas?

May be the same as microwave keypads, liquid spilt on them, or even over use of spray cleaner wicks into the membranes and often causes an error that disappears after a day or so

If it’s like the AEG hob there are 2 driver modules which power 2 rings each. If something overheated on one of the modules the diagnostic circuitry would shut off those 2 rings. I think the touch controls work on light reflected off your finger rather than using a membrane.
