ParticipantI’ve got a customer with one of these m/c’s and it’s dead basically. When you plug the m/c in and switch on all the LED’s light up for a nanosecond then go out – nothing! 😯
I figured the module faulty as there power going to it? Looking on Partfinder says it’s a C00143056. Does anyone know if it’s a straight swap over or is there one of those stupid fiddly eeproms to swap over in it?
Could it not be the module I wonder? If not why not?:con:

hi, if you get the lights flash when powered on this is normal, if you cannot get it to switch on after that, 1st check the console buttons are all in place & not stuck, if that module seems ok, then yes its the main module,
the 143056 will require the correct eeprom, but will prob be superceeded to the new fitted eeprom type, then youll need the smart card & reader instead of the eeprom, see, clear as mud!¬

Participanti do agree with hotpnt
sometimes the buttons get stuck

Hmmmm? Not sure why a stuck button won’t allow the LED’s to light up? Could it be just one button “stuck”? or more than one?
Also are you possibly suggesting that with a perfectly functional WF320P you can simulate this fault by holding a few buttons in whilst switching it on at the wall I wonder? 😕

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WF320P Module?
hi martin, ill try to explain what me & helo mean
whenever you turn the power on on a WF machines the all the LED’s will very briefly flash, that is normal, (if they dont then its usually the main module)
if ANY button is stuck or if ANY button is jammed on, then the machine will not switch on, so yes, on a perfectly working WF machine, if you press any button in, the machine will not switch on
so, it could be any button/s stuck in, or a faulty switch on the control board
hope that helps

Cant EMW help you Martin? Cant go givin jobs to the evil empire 😉I have had 2 customers over the past week tell me that Hotpoint themselves advised them to call an independent..i.e Me instead of them sending one of there own engineers!! Figure that one out, considering when i told a friend who works for hotpoint still that there franchise engineers are very short of work and sit and home alot lately.
So thank you evil empire 😀
