Cheap Spare Parts
Getting cheap parts is a bit of a minefield, especially if you are unfamiliar with the appliance industry as it can be very confusing.
Many of the online stores that you will see and many on sales platforms like Amazon and eBay are all too often the same sellers rebranded to sell the same stuff through different channels these days.
It’s certainly not illegal but, in our opinion, it is a bit disingenuous at best and, not good for customers if you ask us.
You see, these sellers sell at one price that they set and very often the prices will be high as they rely solely on their own single suppliers to provide spare parts.
We don’t.
We use multiple suppliers both in the UK and abroad as well as manufacturers themselves to ensure that you get the best prices and delivery times possible on virtually all spare parts. We are completely independent and not constrained by any deals or distribution contracts at all, we can source parts from wherever we like.
That’s why it isn’t too often that we’re not cheaper than almost all other sellers.
System Updates
The problem with parts is, there are millions of them.
Not kidding, one of our suppliers alone lists over 14 million live items.
It’s easy to choose the wrong thing and it’s not possible to stay completely up to date on all parts all of the time just due to the sheer scale of the industry. Anyone that tells you otherwise, well, we’ll let you decide.
Spare parts change all the time, physically they can alter, pricing, availability and so on can all change in minutes and keeping all that information up to date is almost an impossible task.
Getting Cheap Parts
Now you know some of how the industry works and you can probably work out why some parts are perhaps artificially inflated in the price you will understand the next bit.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the store then please ask us. We will hunt down the best possible price for you.
We can’t promise you that we will win every time but, 9 out of 10 times we will. And, 9 out of 10 we’ll be cheaper.
It is not at all uncommon to see savings of anything from 10% to 100% and on occasion even more so, it’s worth asking us.
Find Spare Parts Online Easily
Getting the correct advice is crucial.
Spare parts and finding them is a very precise art, guessing at it, using images alone, only sizes and so on will almost surely lead to you getting the wrong part. We don’t want that to happen.
Click here to send a spares enquiry and we’ll do the work for you or use the form below
The reason for this is that there are quite literally, millions of spares out there for many, many brands so finding them all on any one site or from any one retailer is virtually impossible. But, with the collective knowledge of the industry on this site, your chances of getting the spares you need are vastly increased. Even if someone here cannot supply the spares they can often tell you where you will be able to obtain the spare from so it’s worth a try. Many of the members of this site have many years in the trade and can answer questions quickly and very accurately indeed.
We all take pride in the fact that what we provide is a quick, efficient and honest service.
There have also, sadly been reports of sellers on the net not being up to scratch, it’s something we do not tolerate on UK Whitegoods and the people handling spares for UK Whitegoods have a great many years of experience in the trade, both on spares and service work. We’ve been around for years, in some cases decades, because we treat customers correctly.
When buying online also be very wary of parts that seem to cheap, the old caveat of, if it seems to good to be true then it likely is, most certainly applies. Not all spares parts are the same and they are most certainly not all of the equal quality, you can read more about this subject from this link
In addition to that, many of the people that are regulars in the forums carry out actual manufacturer service on behalf of a myriad of brand names from Electrolux and Whirlpool, to Hoover and Hotpoint, to more obscure brands like Caple and Lofra most, if not all UK sold brands someone on here is either or has been an agent for and, even if not, we’ve most likely heard of the brand!

What We Can’t Do
Please note that we cannot always supply any spares or accessories to all areas outside of the UK, if you are unsure please ask.
Also, please be aware that we are not allowed, by EU legislation to hand out any technical information or manuals including wiring diagrams unless they are supplied with the spare from the manufacturer.
We are also unable to provide technical support via email, we would suggest that you enquire using the forums as that does work for such enquiries.
We cannot accept spares for return that have been fitted or that are damaged due to a fitting attempt that failed. We’re sorry but the manufacturers won’t accept them back from us and there are a lot of unscrupulous people out there that buy spares to try them and see if it cures the problem and, if not, then try to return them. Of course, this does not affect your statutory rights in any way, we just think it’s best to be clear, open and honest on our policy in this as with everything else.
Information You Give Us
When you request spares please give as much information as possible about the part you require, make and model number is absolutely essential to enable anyone to help you as a general rule. Otherwise its a bit like walking into a Ford dealer and asking for a hose from one of their cars with no other information, I’m sure you get the idea.
Also bear in mind that what we see when looking up spares is not a photograph of the part or product that you own, in 99% of cases we’ll see something like this picture:

Given that you have to be pretty accurate with the description so that we can tie up what part you are actually seeking with such a simple line drawing. These are as good as it gets in most cases I’m afraid and there are no measurements or any other information usually other than a brief description (like drain pump) and a part number.
Model numbers will be on the appliance somewhere, normally on the rating plate and please take the full model number including any suffixes.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you get the model number information from the rating plate on the appliance and NOT FROM THE INSTRUCTION LEAFLET, more often than not the instructions will cover a range of appliances and the spares may differ greatly from what you actually require. In many cases where the rating plate is illegible or damaged, we may not be able to help you.
To find many manufacturer’s spares these days you will also need the production code, serial number or both in some cases. German machines are bad for that and the likes of Bosch/Neff/Siemens appliances the FNR or ENR number is absolutely essential, without it there may be little help available to you. Again, all this information will be found on the rating plate.
Rating plates are generally found in the locations as below:
- Fridges/Freezers – At the crisper drawer stuck on the inner wall of the appliance or on the fridge door, occasionally on the back.
- Washers/Dryers – Inside the filter flap, inside the inner lip of the door or on the back.
- Ovens – On the door down one of the sides, silver sticker or occasionally on the back.
- Cookers – In the pan drawer, inside the oven door as above, under the hob top (older models) and on the back.
- Dishwashers – On the back, inside the door on the actual lip of the door and occasionally behind the kickplate.
- Microwaves – On the back for freestanding or as ovens for built-in models.
Of course, there can be other places that you will find the model number, it can be printed on the fascia of the appliance and often is, but this may not be enough information to accurately find what you need. But it’s better than nothing!
The general rule of thumb is though: The more information you give us the more we can help, the faster we can do that and often the more options that we can give you.
Please be aware that UK Whitegoods provides the forums service free of charge for both parties and accepts no liability for transactions not carried out on behalf of UK Whitegoods in any way.
There are main agents, resellers, retailers or spares suppliers as well as manufacturers representation on the UK Whitegoods website for most recognised UK brands including all of the following brands, but don’t panic if you don’t see yours here.. just ask as we’ll probably be able to get you spares if they are available.
