    This unit worked very well for many years but in the last year seems to regularly collect solid ice (not powdered) at the bottom of the unit.

    There was a fix posted for a model with the suffix /07 but this doesn’y work for my unit /01.

    Any ideas please?

    Hi Red , the normal reason for ice build up in the bottom of the freezer is a blocked drain hole at the bottom rear of the freezer compartment. The first thing you should try is a complete 48hr defrost. Appliance switched off – doors open – plenty of towels round the base just in case .
