    Replaced a couple of late mod condens caps recently, both failed within 6 weeks 😯 8uf Qualtex jobbies in a bag 😯

    Hey, i know theyre cheap but i hoped they would last a bit longer.. anyone else found the same & came up with an answer.. ?

    yup, theres actually a new timer to prevent that

    The new timer part number is c00262836 now made by invensys which replaces the elbi one on the IS70 and IS61 range.

    the caps with a white cap are a bit crap
    if they have a black plastic top, they tend to be better

    however, its always better to fit an 8uf cap to these wrecks

    Cheers H75, both were CDT so i think its the crappy plastic top caps, had a couple of these Qualtex bagged 12uf fellows fail on an old Zanussi washer last year when i come to think about it :rolls:
    Oh well, i’ll try another on it, must try to get a better quality though, could really do without the hassle. 🙁

    we use the masterpart ones the un1103

    they tend to be better
