Do modern ovens not come with one anymore? My BOSCH HBN131561B doesn’t seem to have one, although there is a slot in the grill pan for what looks like a handle.

    Hi

Bosch and Neff oven pans no longer come with handles due to them being full oven width which would make them very heavy if full. One edge of the pan is sloped, this enables the use oven gloves for easy removal.

However there is a grill pan handle which I have ordered for customers in this instance. It`s for the Gorenje B8980 and it`s a two handled affair and slips over the sloped edge nicely.

I would think a nice email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk if you wish to order one 😉

Nearly all Bosch/Neff/siemens ovens with grill elements are used with the oven door CLOSED. This wasn’t so with the older style ovens where you grilled with the door open. I believe they initially had some problems with customers either :

    A. Grilling with the door open as the customer would leave the handle attached , stopping the door from closing – this would lead to burnt facias and melted selector switches

    OR

B: Lots of mashed glass doors where customers left the handles on and then tried to close the door

Thanks for the replies. I’ll stick with the ovenglove for now and if I need a handle, I’ll be in touch.
