ParticipantHi All,
Clearly it’s not my week what with my tumble dryer breaking down, the handle breaking off my washing machine door and now my dishwasher stopping working correctly. 😡
Anyway, my Hoover Nextra HND615 sounds like it starts ok; the machine takes in some water, gurgles for a few seconds, the motor kicks in and then stops. Then the machine takes in some water, gurgles for a few seconds, the motor kicks in and then stops. Over and over and over again until I switch the beast off. Opening the door reveals that there has been a small amount of water sprayed but the cleaning cycle just isn’t starting at all. Sometimes if I leave the machine for a few days it will lure me into a false sense of security by completing a cycle or two before reverting to its non-working behaviour.
I took the front panel apart at the weekend but couldn’t see anything obviously wrong (there was water in the tablet unit but I think this is probably normal unless the water is leaking out of this…no real evidence of this being the case though).
Well, I’m throwing myself at the mercy of the experts here – you guys have been really helpful in the past, and your continued assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Ben

Participanthave you had any burning smells at all
water shouldnt get in the tablet unit, the machine would normally just drop the tablet into the base of the machine and dissolve it like that
im not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} on dishwashers, but im sure mr penguin will be here soon to advise, but i wouldnt rule out a faulty wash motor to be honest

ParticipantOK, I’ve re-checked and I think maybe the control board has been damaged by water, which raises two questions:
1. How much for a replacement control board?
2. How do I stop what appears to be a leak from the rear of the tablet drawer? Thanks in advance,
Ben

Replacement pcb is p/no 41010563. The dispenser is only listed as an assembly – 41010202 – the gasket does not appear to be a spare in its own right. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will give you a price for these items and get them for you promptly if required.
You may get away with using a quality silicon sealant on the dispenser seal, but, obviously, that’s a “no guarantees” solution.

ParticipantBefore I go ahead and get a replacement PCB, is there anything else which is obvious to the experts which should be checked first?
Thanks in advance,
Ben

Got the same fault on a Candy CDI 1012, pulsing motor. Have you managed to get yours fixed, if so what was the cure.

ParticipantI finally had enough of the stinking thing today and went and bought a new Kenwood. No fix I’m afraid although I still suspect the control PCB was at fault…

Um, Kenwood…… You’ve bought a Chinese one. It’ll be either a Haier or Midea produced machine and you’ll be back to talk to us very soon……..
If you haven’t taken delivery yet, please cancel it and have a think about what you really need. You will get what you pay for……….
