ParticipantIts been a few years since I last had a problem with this dishwasher.
Problem is it starts quite happily but wont stop. Tried switching off at the mains and restarting but that didn’t work. On stopping the washer I noticed that it still had water in the base, on re-start it drained the water refilled and continued to chunter on quite happily trouble is it doesn’t want to stop!
Any ideas where I might start looking?

Funny you should mention heat, other symptoms include; not washing the dishes properly and leaving streaks over everything, oddly the tablet dispenser opens but the tablet remains partly disintegrated inside – could this be due to a lack of heat?
It did eventually stop last night – not sure how long it went on for, noticed that the five indicator lights where illuminated like this:
X X O O X
X = Illuminated
O = offI had a look for error codes but couldn’t find any specifically for this machine.
So if it is a lack of heat what can I do next?

If 1 + 2 are flashing and 5 is steady, that’s E3 – no heat detected in the time allowed.
Time to get the test meter out!

Been away for a sew days and the machine hasn’t repaired itself – damn!
Tested the heater and it seems fine. Tried running a program and it completed the cycle, I opened it half way through and water cold so definitely not heating up.
What to try next? I assuming there must be something which controls the temperature but don’t know where to find it.

There is an overheat thermostat in the base, which protrudes through the floor of the machine. This should read as closed. Failing that, it’s dodgy wiring or the pcb.

It was the thermostat.
Thanks for the advice.
