    Lambert F85 dishwasher….or is it?? 😕

A customer of mine with a care home has been sold one of these as a commercial dishwasher. She says it is awful, and the crocs have to be washed before they are put into it.
It looks like a glasswasher to me – the baskets are shaped in small pyramids rather than racks as you would expect in a standard dishwasher. It does a hot wash in four minutes; I would have thought that length of wash was nowhere near good enough to wash dishes properly (in the Environmental Health perspective).
Firstly, is this machine a commercial glasswasher as I think it is? And secondly, is this machine capable of washing dishes as a Hobart would be? The racks certainly don’t lend themselves to holding plates.
Also, how old would a Lambert F85 be? Are they still in current production?
    Anyone know the answers?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

It is probably a Newscan Lamber machine, look them up on http://www.newscan.co.uk/.
A google search should bring up more details.
Glasswashers usually use flat bottomed baskets the spiked sort you refer to are for universal plate stacking.
Thing is with fast commercial machines like these they are more plate steralisers as much as wachers and the plates need to be cleaned of food waste before being washed.
