ParticipantHi,
I’m interested in the ISE2 washer but won’t order for a few reasons.
1, the minimum order is three but I have no room to stock them working from home but could manage 2 kept on the van.
2, I’m told they are reliable and cheap to repair but I cannot access the ISE forum to find out the real story and discuss the pros and cons with those who are already selling them. Why? Seems shortsighted if you want to expand the numbers sold because I and maybe others need some proper info. What are the prices of say a pump, motor or pcb and other parts so I can compare with others on the market?
So, I would like to stock them but this is stopping me from making the order(that and the fact that GBDars owe me some money) 😳
Please feel free to comment
Thanks

I sell ISE machines and have access to the ISE forum.
You won’t find much on there to answer your queries. There are no part prices available yet, as far as I know. I’m hoping prices will be available soon. Tech info is available on all ISE products apart from the dishwasher, again as far as I know.Prices have just changed on the ISE2 and Dishwasher. Both have gone up by £20.
In my eyes the extra £20 on the ISE2 will make it difficult for me to sell as a budget machine. I was selling it for £269. I know some were selling it for £299 before the increase. What else would you like to know???

I heard from John that the 2 was going up in price but didn’t realise the dishwasher was increasing as well nor that this had already happened.
I have installed quite a few ISE2’s and as yet – not had a single service call on one.November 10, 2008 at 9:19 pm #267755boselecta

Yes I sell ISE appliances and have thought it would beneficial to be allowed into the ISE trade forum to discuss some of the techinical problems..
Why not make it open to everyone?November 11, 2008 at 9:10 am #267756Del

If you sell ISE on a regular basis then you are automatically granted acess to the ISE forum. If you do not have access then simply contact admin@iseappliances.co.uk where your account details will be checked and access granted.

It was done already Sean. 😉
The problem is that I don’t always know who’s signed up and who hasn’t to sell ISE and, even were I aware, tying that information up to any user account on UKW in some automatic way is just not possible, it has to be done manually.
Add to that that we often only see a username on the site, not the email address, real name or very importantly for this, the trading name or business name and I’m sure you can appreciate that I often don’t have a clue if someone should have access and doesn’t.
On top of that again, I can’t remember what members have access to what sections and I’m not sat here every day checking who does or does not have access certain sections. There are over 1400 trade members, well over 100 ISE sellers, about 100 WTA members etc., it is just not possible to check all these or to remember them all.
If you don’t have access to an area of the site and think that you should have, you’ll have to ask or it will stay that way as access to any protected area of the site is granted manually. If you don’t ask, you won’t get.

I think for ISE to be a viable proposition for any independent to undertake the whole ISE thing wants seriously smartening up TBH.
Of the apparent 1400 UKW trade members only some 100 actually sell ISE and yet even ISE don’t know who they are?
Coupled alongside that is a communication failure back at ISE HQ where those wishing to buy ISE and ask for more details via email are somehow lost in a spam filter (whatever that is?).
I’m sure ISE want to be all things to all men but it’s easy to see why some are showing reluctance toward them just in those two examples. 🙁

As usual Martin, you’re talking rubbish about something you have little to no knowledge whatsoever of.
You’ve never sold an ISE.
You’ve never enquired about selling an ISE.
And, TBH, I don’t take very much you do say very seriously due to the first sentence of this post.
As for the second sentence of your post, I’ve no clue what that even means, it doesn’t make any sense. There again, it’s another system that you have bog all knowledge of but you’re oh so quick to criticise. You do seem to like to be taken notice of.
In short, we have a little thing for people like you, please enjoy…

Now, if you want to keep trolling please find another site to do it on as I’m sick of complaints about your wittering.
Thanks

I’m so very sorry to hear that you felt that my post was ‘trolling’ and as a result I would like to personally apologise unreservedly to you Ken for giving you that impression.
It was intended merely as constructive criticism highlighting, what to my mind at least, were observed weaknesses in the ISE system and nothing more.
Just to correct you on a couple of points if I may. I did originally enquire over selling ISE machines and was registered as such on the ISE website for a short while. Unfortunately for me and my business ISE it was a logistical problem. (i.e. I simply had no means of transportation to deliver the goods)
Secondly, I did re-write the first ISE5 User Manual as you know, and was very much involved in ‘field testing’ the product at that time. In fact because of the former problem of logistics at least I was able to contribute to ISE in the latter.
So to be branded a troll, wicked troublemaker or whatever is a little harsh but I’m grown up enough to accept and respect your point of view if that is your wish?
ISE is a good scheme for independents to take on. It’s concept is to be applauded and it’s success to be encouraged. I think we both agree on that at least?
I’ll say no more on the subject lest I be misunderstood and in future confine my thoughts and suggestions to you in future via pm.:D
Best regards
Martin
