    Hotpoint DF53P dishwasher. 64708825. 92708825.

    This machine leaks where the airbox nozzles fit into the softener unit. (left side). Removed the airbox and cleaned the ‘O’ rings; no fault with them; refitted the airbox and tested. The water fills for about 3 seconds and as the pressure builds up, it is forced past the ‘O’ rings and leaks into the base. I can’t see any obvious reason for this apart from the softener being blocked. The bottom of the resin container has a layer of deposit and the customer has never used salt during the life of the machine even though the water is very hard round here.
    Anyone ever had a softener unit block up? I’ve never had it before but it seems the logical explanation. Also Connect are quoting £111 + VAT for the softener……… :martin:

    cannot say if its your problem or not but 31×9459 is a whole lot cheaper and will fit that model.
