    Re: diplomat range

Hi wayne, it will be a bit involved.Take off control knobs, then control panel.slide out the centre hob dividing piece.Go to the sides and take out the plastic plugs, 4 in total. The 2 hob tops should now be released. If a new one, these may also be screwed down.gently lift the hob tops and all is revealed.Take the screws out the phial plate right rear.Undo the screws for the relevant back plate so the rear is open for you to see access to the hole where the phial enters the oven cavity.Pull off phial from inside the oven so its free.Pull through ,unscrew the stat, fit all wires to new one and reverse all actions.Hey presto, another hour gone out of your life.Hope all goes well, all the best.

    Re: diplomat range

Sorry for hijacking this thread but last job today was for a Diplomat APL 5751 Range cooker. Model not listed on Masterpart but after a control for the griddle, It feels like a capillary stat rather than an Eng reg, And thanks to Mendy in advance for advise on how to access if I get the job.
