Programme starts and drum fills with water OK. Depending on programme drum may rotate for a few seconds, but eventually on any programme, nothing further happens apart from a regular click from the programme control dial/pcb area.

If I advance dial manually to the rinse section of cycle, machine empties and refills, but then stops again with just the regular click.

Drum empties OK on setting no.13.

There’s nothing stuck in the pump impellor area. Brushes were replaced just over a year ago. Machine is 8-10 years old.

Once or twice since fault has developed machine has tripped the circuit, and there’s possible some sign of burning on one or two of the resistors on the main pcb.

Please tell me its not terminal!!

Do you mean in order to replace the motor? And if so, is that a job for a pro?

    Thanks

Thanks for your advice. Had brushes replaced today – machine working again!

By the way – is £94 for new brushes on this machine about right?
