Has anyone else had any of these, did one about 12 months ago, now have my second in less than a week. 😥

Problem is is does appear to drip onto the motor, this one just stopped the machine altogether but by the time I got to it the motor had dried out and would programme again. Leaking quite badly from the seam though.

One thing I would say, I did replace one of these seals last week and managed to remove the drum front and replace the seal without having to remove the complete drum assy from the cabinet. Once all the bits & bobs from the front and the hoses were removed I laid it on its back and after wiggling out the two suspension springs was able to change the seal without any problems.

Another one today. 😥 Leaked onto motor and appears to have corrupted PCB.

I’m getting my time to refit drum seal down due to all the practise I am getting. 😀

I put a bead of sealant on the new seal, belt & braces eh. 😉

Re: ISE 5 Mk 1 drum seal leaks.

Went back to complete this job today. Yesterday I could not cancel the programme, it was stuck on spin and no matter how long I held the S/P/C button it would not switch off.

It must have dried out overnight because after fitting seal it worked perfectly.

Well worth checking for leaks onto motor if you are getting strange behaviour from controls.

I did notice one area that could lead to problems in the future. On all of the recent ISE 5 mk1’s I have looked at there are signs of the two top suspension springs cutting through the drum and elongating the fixing hole. It will only be a matter of time before the spring cuts right through the drum and allows it to drop.

I had one a couple of weeks ago that was nearly through. I drilled another hole to the side to refit the suspension spring.
