    Hello!

    I hope someone can help.

My dishwasher has just come out of warranty (by 3 days!) and has stopped working! I switch it on, it starts, then a minute later it stops and beeps three times. The last beep is longer than the other two. Cold water has been sprayed into the washer.
We had this problem about a month ago and I solved it by turning it off overnight, but I’d like a more permanant solution if possible!
    Thanks in advance

The heater is out of circuit; or at least the computer thinks it is…… A firm word with Whirlpool Service might yield a compassionate response, but don’t bank on it!

Otherwise, you need to perform a resistance check on the heating element with a test meter and check for burnt-out wiring in the same area. It’s possible that the computer has failed, but that is fairly unusual on these.

If you don’t want to do this yourself and Whirlpool won’t play, use the Repairs@ link on the left to find a UKW engineer in your area.

If going in yourself, power off first, please.
