Hotpoint WD860P, anyone know why there is a gauze filter between the tub and heater/ fan box and how to stop it getting blocked every month or so. And can anyone explain the condenser water feed when drying, seems like there is no constant dribble, just a spurt every now and then, is that normal?
    Thanks in advance.

The gauze is a MAJOR PAIN in the rear and all hotpoint engineers just cut it out and then you have no more air flow problems or stat’s tripping out.

As for the water spurt as far as I know this is normal.

yup, cut out the filter, and snip the wire to the valve, its the only answer

yep, the valve is supposed to flush the fluff off the filter

if the filter aint there, it serves no purpose
