Hi,
My Miele G646 has developed the following problem. After power on and pressing the start button there is motor noise then the “Inlet/Drain” indicator lights up then flashes alternately. The hanbook suggests the water inlet filter is blocked so I have removed and checked but couldn’t see any blockage.
Just for good measure I have checked the drain pump impeller for obstructions and cleaned the non return valve.
Can anyone help?

possibly you have had a leak into the tray that covers the bottom, this operates a float which may bring on the pump and lights. Would need to identify where the leak is coming from which is no easy task on one of those.

I had a look at the weekend and sure enough, the tray that covers the bottom was full of dirty soapy water! I found out when I turned the machine on it’s side to see how to remove the bottom!
How do you remove the sides? Perhaps I could see where it’s leaking if I removed them.
