I apologise in advance for my absence today, my BB is down. Its been off all day, 4 rock steady lights on the modem but no default gateway, dns or wins servers showing up. 😥
Dial up is far to slow, hopefully normal service will be resumed. In the mean time, have fun. 😀

YEEEY, sorted. Didn’t have time to mess around this morning. After trying everything, disabling firewall etc I unplugged the wireless router and connected the PC directly to the modem and bingo. Switched router of for a few minutes, switched back and reconnected and away she went.
Might not bother telling anyone and have a quite night. 😉 😆

Will be away Fri,Sat,Sun but may have my lappy with me. Going down to Woking to celebrate my brothers 60th birthday on Saturday.

We`re on holiday as from tomorrow for one week. Taking daughter and grandaughter down to Cornwall, been a bit of a rough year for them after divorcing her husband and moving back in with us. Just hoping a holiday will do us all good.
There is WIFI where we are staying so will pop in regularly to see what`s going on.

Have a good time with your family, excusing the circumstances, the good thing about having kids/grandkittens is that just when you think they have left they come home. Got a houseful at the mo all three back and queing up for a shave. Keep off the cream teas and watch you figure 😀

Apparently I’m going away for a week as of some ungodly hour of tomorrow.
Problem is that the kids and T are going with me, can’t win them all. 😆

Off for a few days on Tuesday going up to North Devon. No wifi available there, but will pop in through site pc`s now and then.

Not strictly AWOL, my six year old D-Link wireless router corpsed on me this afternoon. The missus has a lot of ‘home work’ to do ( works for local council) so I have fixed up a long cable to her laptop from the cable modem so that she can use the 20 meg cable connection. Never got round to getting a hub with the wireless router working perfectly all this time.
I am on my faithful ZEN dial up connection ( been with them nearly 18 years ) and TBH it is not bad at all, their infrastructure must be the best in the business, a very reliable back up 8)
Unfortunately it is going on my phone bill so I may not be around much this evening. 😥
BTW, my neck problems are well on the mend, full movement with only minimal discomfort. All the chemicals I have swallowed in the past week have left me feeling a bit queasy though.
