I have a Indesit DIF04 dishwasher rated 1880 watts
and a Indesit IWDE 12 washing machine both supplied with current though a fcu.
I do not know the power consumption for this but wonder if one 13 amp spur will cope. This is in a new build house so I may be able to get the electrician back if work needs doing.
Do you think one 2.3amp supply cable is up to the job?
hi not sure what you mean by a 2.3amp cable, if its really 2.3amp then it will melt in seconds!!!, presume you mean 2.5mm cable?, the cable would cope but one FCU doing both machines would melt very soon, dont put them both on one unit!
AFAIK you are allowed 2 outlets on a spur….that is, each outlet can supply 13 amps (or is it 14A now we’re 230 V and not 240?)….a total of nearly 6 KW down a length of 2.5 cable. sounds a lot, but just look how thin a piece of 30 amp fusewire is.!
a 2-gang (double) socket-outlet would be your max. on a spur
