    Over the past few years I have had problems with certain Hoover door latches.

    Model EL160UK.

    They first one I ever saw, the door had been taken apart by the customer and I felt sure she has mislaid a spring, however no matter what I tried to order all I ever got was the latch.

    There does not appear to be any spring fitted to these door latches, how do they operate the interlock without a spring. 😕

    Also is there any fix for persistent door locking problems on this type of mechanism?

    No they don’t have a spring. It’s best to fit a new Door Catch (97917108) and a new door trim (91601650) as the latch mounting wears on the trim. 😉
