I’ve had an E1 code come up & following some advice in this forum, have taken the bottom panel off. There’s no liquid levels anywhere, but noticed when the washer is started, after a few minutes the diaphragm lifts & activates the microswitch. I’ve pulled off the rubber tube at the diaphragm & now the dishwasher runs ok. Where does the rubber tube come from? Obviously there is a minor fault somewhere, what could I do to further investigate, I don’t want to leave this tube hanging!
    Thanks, Neil

The hose feeds the flood protection device, which will work on water flooding the base, or the water level control system not funtioning properly. A secondary system diverts pneumatic pressure to the FPD. The problem is a blockage, probably in the transfer tubes from the water matrix on the right hand side to the sump under the filters.

The easy fix is to find the rubber flap in the sump and rod out the tube behind it out. A suitable tool is a long reasonably stout ty-rap or a skinny bottle brush with a long handle. You’ll be surprised at how much muck and goo will come out. If it doesn’t do the trick, you’re looking at removing the side panel and the matrix and some serious cleaning.

    Power off first.

Thanks for the prompt response. I’ve given the tube a good rodding….yep, gooey! Got it in about 4″, is that enough? Refitted the tube to the FPD but still cuts out. Looks like a weekend job now. I’m assuming now I’ve got to pull out the machine to take off the side panel to access the matrix?
    Thanks…really appreciate these forums
