Hoover HDC6UK T/dryer

    Hi, is there a toc replacement as all I can see is that the complete heater unit needs ordering. Would the toc from the hotpoint kit do?

    no, completeley different im afraid

    someone on the public domain changed it for a 2p part from maplins….

    but i think ud be better fitting the full heater miself… its gone for a reason

    yep, it went because the capacitor failed and drum wouldn’t turn. Never mind, I will change whole heater.

    These heaters usually have a thermal fuse set in the mica side panels. They are colour coded, but temperature is normally written on the side. Easily replaced. 😉

    Hi Steve,
    this is on top of the heater and no temp anywhere on it.

    It’s at the top on the inside; fold back the tabs and lift off the metal cover.

    if u get a hoover td with old thermal fuse must upgrade to new style with 2 stats on . hoover had problem with these models catching fire., also on w/m dated between 99 and 04 must replaced mains filter these also catch fire. although hoover will not afficaly comfirm this. im ex hvr so know it to be true.
