Dishwasher fills and tries to start, indicator lights dim momentarily, motor cuts out, starts filling again and repeats till top level sensor kicks in and empties it. This repeats. Took front panel off, no signs of water ingress, board seems ok. Took motor run capacitor off and tested it for o/c. (with m/meter), holds a charge ok. The casing on the interference suppressing capacitor is cracked and missing possibly done in transit? wax inside ok. and holds a charge with m/meter. please tell me its not the motor…. :rolls:

Probably the pcb. Start by replacing the mains suppressor at the earliest opportunity – p/no 91200489 – it may be causing a corruption issue.

Thanks for that P45. I`ll see if the local UKW store has one tommorrow. Wouldn`t want our lass corrupting any more than she already is…

Well replacing the suppressor hasn`t changed anything. I`ve taken the pcb off checked it out under a magnifying lens wth a probe (fine jewellers screwdriver) for dry joints/bad tracks etc. e/lytics seem sound, on the whole the board looks fine. Before I replace the pcb is there anything else to try, like the motor run cap. The motor windings reg 104 ohms. As I said before it actually starts to pump before something causes it to cut out. I wish I had a pcb elctrical layout with test points, 💡 waveforms and voltages!!
