ParticipantI think this is the model number as it’s on a small panel inside the fridge:
LEC T278W6 4B 002955Basically it appears to be working fine, but the bread in the freezer section is not quite frozen. I had to throw some ice-cream as it was runny (is that how you spell runny? Not sure I’ve ever written it before).
It has a control right on the top (above the fridge door) which is basically a dial that can be turned in a circle between 1 2 3 and 4.
What I don’t understand is how this affects the temperature. Is 1 coolest, and 4 warmest or is it the other way around? And regardless, do this affect the freeser AND the fridge in the same way? The fridge section is cold enough.
I know I could turn the knob to find out, but don’t want to ruin all the food in the fridge.
Any ideas more than welcome.

Hi,
1 warmest, 4 coldest.
If it’s not freezing right, being a LEC and a simplistic system, it’s liable to be a system failure.

Excellent kwatt. I’ve wondered for ages which way it went. I may also have detected the cause of said systme failure. It’s in my garage.
I didn’t think it relevant until browsing the rest of the forum. It will be well outside its climate range, and its also quite damp in there when the car parks up covered in snow.I guess I need look into keeping a 3rd fridge freezer in the house somewhere (not bragging, got a teeny tiny fridge in the kitchen and a US style in the utility). This was a beer and bread FF only.
Or am I jumping to conclusions?

Nope, is you’d said it was in a garage I’d have suggested that. I assumed it was in a normal room. 😉
That being the case it’s likely just too cold for it to work right and, yes, I know that sounds insane with a machine that’s supposed to make things cold.

I’m glad you’ve wriiten that down kwatt as I have to explain this to the wife in the morning and she’ll say the exact same thing. “But it’s snowing!”
