My Hoover fridge freezer (HCA450FTTD) doesn’t seem to want to cut out and the fridge compartment is freezing all its contents. I replaced the PCB but this hasn’t helped – I still have frozen milk!
The new PCB did have ‘breakers’ that I was supposed to snap off (or not) depending on the model but as the one I took out was left intact, I figured that I should leave them intact in the new one.
Nonetheless, the fridge works but won’t cut out and I was hoping that somebody might be able to suggest something else for me to try?

    Thank you in advance

Could you check the model number again please I cant find it on my technical info. I would however suggest that you may have a problem with either the thermistor (which measures the temperature) or with either the gas charge or compressor. Both these can cause the appliance to run all the time.

    Thanks for your swift reply.
I’ve checked and the model number is correct HCA450FTTD, Type PF43, 3400044005140110.
This was the PCB I bought from ukwhitegoods: http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Refriger … oller.html
As you can see my fridge is listed below this.
The Thermistor sounds do-able (for an amateur) but the gas charge definitely doesn’t, and the compressor sounds expensive!
I have found 2 items for sale for this fridge, one described as ‘sensor’ and the other ‘fridge thermostat’, do you think either of these could be the thermistor?
Any further help would be greatly appreciated.
