    Hello,
My Bosch WFF2001 will not fill on most settings at a temperature of 40 degrees or above. However, if I lower the temperature to 30 degrees it bursts into life and does a full wash cycle. It does start up on 40 degress on the Wool cycle but I think that may be a special case of cold fill only.

I have inspected the inlet filters on both hot and cold but they were clean.

Would I be right in thinking that the next step is to replace the hot inlet valve?

    Best wishes,
    Peter

Not quite, the next step would be to test the hot valve for continuity/resistance. 😉

Power off before doing this. Also are you in a flat with low hot water pressure?

Thanks to both for the replies.

Yes, the hot fill valve is clearly open circuit, while the two cold fill valves have a resistance of about 3 kilohms. So, I will order a new hot fill valve with confidence.

Yes, I do live in a flat with low pressure but the machine has been working here for the past 10 years. And I recently moved the cold water tank into the loft, to give extra pressure for a shower. I don’t suppose that would have made any difference to the hot fill valve. Or would it??

Should not be a problem, the low pressure can mean that the hot valve is energised for longer periods but tens years from a valve is not bad.
