Is there a modification available that prevents the counterweight bolts from rubbing holes in the dispenser/tub hoses on AWO/D 6707’s I wonder?
A block of 38 apartments in Reading each has one of these machines installed and one by one they are springing a leak and its that hose punctured every time. Now I’m not complaining and I quite enjoy replacing these hoses (easy job = wads of dosh for me). But I have a strong sense of duty and well being for my customer and the urge to ensure none of the replacement hoses I’ve fitted recently don’t give me any recall hastle. Leaky washing machines on the top flat of a tower block ain’t good news for anyone!
That bolt is right alongside the hose and removing it isn’t an option. I thought perhaps Whirlpool may have a modified guard that can be placed between them maybe?????

I usually improvise something with duct tape and/or foam pipe lagging. Servis washer dryers were a good one for rubbing holes in the hoses from valves to dispenser.

that black sealant used on oven doors is good for building extra strength on hoses. put a lump on and tell the customer not to use for a day.

Extracare guys and us used cheap scouring pads (foam squares) from Tescos for built in Merloni machines rubbing thruogh on sump hose, glue one to bolt head sorted !!
Also glued 2 to front weight to stop em banging against cases on spin, dulled the noise a bit didnt stop the vibration though !! lol 😉
