    Brandt BDW060 dishwasher.

This was a dishwasher from my daughters boyfriend, it is supposedly brand-new and has not been run, it has been in storage for over a year in his garage, and then passed on to me as mine has broke.

Plugged and plumbed it in and all it would do is to pump so traced the fault to the fill valve which has now been replaced, now it pumps out, fills with cold water and circulates spinning the arms inside for a while then stops, then it drains all the water out (while still filling) and starts the process all over again, any clues where to start looking.

Tried it on variouse settings and get the same thing, the “wash in progress” light is on when it starts but after a while it goes out but the washer still carries on, constantly filling.

What actually tels the water to stop, is it a timer or sensor.??

Water level is controlled by the displacement of air from a collection chamber into a diaphragm pressure switch. A blockage or switch failure is possible.

Can’t tell you much more – I’m not familiar with this machine.

Stay safe – power off if you are intending to do this yourself.
