Our Admiral GC2227 SDFW S/S American style fridge freezer was switched off recently for cleaning etc, when it was switched back on everything was OK for approx a week, but then the top half off the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge lost temperature( bottom half off freezer was still OK). I turned up the freezer to max (9) and everything worked OK again, after approx 48 hrs switched it back down to 6 and after 24 hrs the top half of the freezer and the fridge lost temperature again and the ice in the ice maker started to melt.Would appreciate any help and advice.
    Regards,

hello dalboy, is the fan in the freezer running?
can you hear it when you open the door?
can you see frost on the back wall of the freezer?

    cheers.

Hi Alf, many thanks for a quick reply.
Frost was on the back wall of the freezer but only on the bottom half, top half of the back wall was dry and not very cold.
I had switched the appliance off as the food in the top half of the freezer had thawed but I will turn it back on and let you know if the fan is coming on ASAP.
    Once again, cheers
