My dishwasher is running through the wash cycle’s o.k. and even giving the beeps to signal wash completed (2short beeps followed by one longer beep) It is also draining no problem . In effect doing everything except heating the water. Can anyone point me in the right direction Please .

Heater failure would give a three flash fault, temperature sensor a single flas fault. Therefore, the machine thinks it’s achieved temperature. This is most likely the NTC sensor being out of range. Have a read of the back end of THIS THREAD.

Stay safe. power off if you plan to tackle this yourself.

    Thanks for the responses guy’s . Apologies , Didn’t see P45’s original response .
Many thanks for the tips .
After power down and planned NTC removal I have noticed a removable black plastic grid unit that was choked with gunk . Removed elec plug from back of this and with 1/4 turn removed from water drain area.
After much flushing with fresh hot water I can see this has a clear diaphragm inside that is now moving freely and clicks when pushed inwards . It looks like this was jammed before cleaning ,is this like a water level sensor ?
Another quick one . The salt fill chamber has another chamber next to it which the water inlet goes to . There looks like an amber coulored gel in there ,is this a filtration gel?
Thanks in advance for any further advice .
    Regards

    Hi

Yes this is the water softener chamber ,the salt keeps it clean.

Thanks washman , what’s the small black grid component with the diaphragm? Could this have contributing to my problem also?

the circular black disc is a pressostat and yes it measures water level and tells the pcb when to close the inlet valve. Its unlikely at this stage that it caused your heat problems as generally a gunged up pressostat will cause an F4 (four flash) failure, or drainage failure. However you have probably prevented a future fault by spotting it now and cleaning it.

    Hope this helps
