ParticipantHi, the machine had started making some sort of judder when going onto the drying cycle, now the machine starts on a normal cycle, fills with water then approx 40 seconds into the cycle clicks off then the dryer motor spins up and the spin LED and door lock LED flash, the machine has to be uplugged to reset it but it does the same again each time, please help as it is very frustrating.
I have had all the connections off and on the circut board to no avail.
I have ordered a new PCB module but i’m not so sure that is the problem.
ThanksDecember 11, 2008 at 11:07 pm #271341helo_75

No just a direct replacement for the original, it is a MK8 board.

Its recon so I would imagine it is already programmed, I have seached for the error spin led and door lock led flashing, can you shed some light on that for me?

Participantthats an f01 fault
the triac that controls the motor on the pcb is faulty
your probably right with your diagnosis, but the only other thing to check is the wires on the motor plug for the tacho arent broken, or indeed the tacho itself
its nearly always the board to be honest!

Thanks for that, the tacho being the thing under the cap on top of the motor with 2 red wires going into it? you see the machine did exactly the same about 10 months ago but it just righted itself and has been fine all year until it started with a juddering noise, always before the dryer cycle started.
As for the card I have ordered it from EMW Electronics, they are reconditioned and part of the bargain is that you send your old PCB back to them, thats why I assumed that the card would be pre programmed as it has been in a machine before.December 11, 2008 at 11:36 pm #271349helo_75
Participantif its coming from emw, it will be programmed, yes the tacho has 2 red wires coming from it, im pretty sure your problem will be cured when the board is fitted
and, of course, silly as it may sound – safety first, make sure the plug is removed

hi, lights 3 & 4 is an F03 NTC thermistor fault, check the small wires on the thermistor by heater, and the connections to the board, may be loose, or another board fault

Right, it turned out that it was a loose connection, at the moment all is working well again but I think a new machine will be bought in the new year.
Which would be a reliable brand to buy??
