ParticipantHave just signed up to Vodafone 3GB a month for 7.50 free usb modem(existing mobile customer) as i am finding it is needed more and more for spares ordering/UKW browsing instead of waiting till i get home. Do many of you guys use it and is there any hints tips tricks i can benefit from?

We use ‘t’ mobile web N walk. It’s okay depending where you are and signal strength but it’s SOOOOO slow for general internet things 👿

I thought Vodaphone was £15/month? I suppose these deals you see on the telly where you pay £35/month but get a free laptop probably work out about the same if you only keep the contract for the minimum term.

Yeah, that’s what I’m currently paying and how I scrape the money together I’ll never know. 😉
I’m sure these super dooper hi-tech Blackberry’s and iPhones etc are the dogs danglies but my god don’t you ever have to stump up for the privilege. The screens the size of a fag packet, the buttons need tweezers to press. The connection is slow and laborious and all the while the money is clocking up for the service provider…..nice!
Searching for a signal, searching for an internet connection, thumbing through the sign-on protocols and gazing for ever at that bloomin’ hourglass icon while the page, you think you want, comes up.
Nah! It’s for the techies to play with and never to be practical in the working environment…..freezing cold van, mucky greasy frozen fingertips pressing the wrong button ordering 1000 widgets by mistake ..much prefer getting back to my office desk, cup of tea, feet up, widescreen monitor and lightning fast broadband connection to do my Internet business….:rolls:
