ParticipantI have a Hotpoint WD440P
During a wash, it got to ‘Rinse & Spin’.
Flashing lights then started – On/Off, Rinse Hold & Time Saver.I have checked & cleaned the pump & all the water courses.
When put back together, the the lights still flash & water goes straight through the machine – from tap, though the drum & out of the drian pipe.I cannot see a problem. Can anyone help?
Thankyou

Hi Simon,
I have tried various heights.
I have had the machine for a few years with the pipe in the same place – around 70cms off the floor.
Only when the problem occurred & I was cleaning did I have diffent heights – from floor to 95cms.Thanks.

When you say the water goes right through, can you hear the pump running at this point? If you can the it sounds as though the module has failed. One of the many ‘Indesit’ weak points on this machine. 😥
From top to bottom by number which of the left hand vertical lights are flashing?

I have a Hotpoint WF530 and the exact same problem….
I have called out a engineer (nt from Hotpoint) and he said the computer had gone 🙁 and only hotpoint could repair it, he said the machine was worth about £20.I am now thinking of getting a Bosch but I wish I could get it repaired!!
Any help would be much appreciated!
Regards
Sabrina.

Whilst it is totally incorrect to say that ‘only Hotpoint’ can repair it, his assessment of its value was not far of the mark.
If it is under five years old then Hotpoint’s free parts but £100 labour charge would be cheaper than an independent could replace a module for in 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of cases.
PS. Well over 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of current Bosch machines have not been within many miles of Germany. 😉
Try for a budget of £350 upwards to get anything half decent.
