    Hi,

I have a Neff S5443x1GB/29 that doesn’t seem to heat up properly. Once the cycle has finished and I open the door, I seem to recall vast cloads of steam hitting me in the face and the items being too hot to handle – sadly there is now no steam and the items are lukewarm (but they are very clean).

    What needs replacing ?

Does it need a technition ?

How much are we talking about for the parts and labour ?

What current model is the same as what I have (ours is 8 years old now)?

    Apologies for so many questions.

    John

There are two standard problems (widely posted through this forum) which cause poor/no heat issues.

Firstly is a dry joint on the computer board in the top of the door. This can often be resolved with a soldering iron and wire.

Secondly, the machine may be underfilling due to an accumulation of food deposits in the transfer pipe across the front lower part of the machine and the fill/pressure chamber on the left hand side.

Heaters do occasionally fail, but this would give you no heat at all.

    Many thanks for the response.

The blocked pipe might be true. After posting this, I ran another wash through with just the breakfast things in – at the end of the wash, there was plenty of steam and the items were hot to touch.

Just running an empty wash now with white vinegar.
