    My DC14 motor is dead. I’m about to strip the motor and check for problems. I was wondering if the motor from the DC7 was compatible? If i cant find the problem, i was hoping to swap the motor from my old machine…..

    any thoughts?

    Thanks for the post, I’ve double checked and its a DC04 not 7 as I thought.

    Sorry then,dc04 motor has a different code on the motor.

    Thanks mate – They are cheap enough to replace, which I’m suprised at!

    Yeah…make sure you buy the genuine one as imo the pattern ones are pants!!
