    I hate days like this!

Anyway, I have a vented dryer that has just died. It just lasted 4 years 🙁

I need to get a replacement ASAP. It is out in the garage, but I have a lot of electrical gear out there and I am always cautious about humidity, so I am thinking about a condensing dryer this time.

It must be electric as there is no gas and I plan to leave the country in 2 years time, so I don’t want to spend too much money as I will have to leave the dryer here when I let the house out.

I guess I want to spend as little as possible (I’ve bet you’ve heard that before!) I’ve looked at your ISE models, and even buying the Maytag direct and therefore without your insurance policy, but that still costs >£450 which I don’t think I can justfiy.

On the other hand, I don’t see the point in spending £150 that will cost an extortionate amount to run and will blowup in 13months time.

A sensor dryer would be ideal, as I often guestimate how long to turn it on for and come back in a few hours. Other than that I am open to suggestions!

Any thoughts on models or price ranges that I should consider?
With the wife and two kids, the washing is starting to pile up, so I’ll have to get one in the next 48hours.

    Thanks,

    Paddy

Oh, and I bought your DC14 motor! That should fix the Dyson – £39 was a bargin!

How about a nice Zanussi ZDC67550W? Decent build, not too expensive.

Thanks for the reply! I am limited to what I can find locally. With christmas around the corner, if it aint in stock, it will be a fortnight. 🙁

I cant find the Zanussi ZDC67550W, but I can find a Bosch WTE84307 for £320. How is that?

I had almost convinced the wife to get a Maytag MDE9651AES for £420 but cant find one in stock. I’d buy the ISE10 if it came without the insurance policy, which I dont need…. I am sold on a sensor, condensor as there is a chance it would come with us when we move…. arghh!

Is the Zanussi better than the others?

WTE84307 is a proper Bosch – they do buy in the budget ones with varying degrees of success. The Zanussis in general seem decent at the lower price mark.

Given that the Bosch is an extra £100-£150, would you pay that?
