My Neff S5555 is trying to empty the remaining water – very little left in, if I pour more in it removes it but the dish washer is not going onto the next stage ie, completing the drain and ready to start new wash.

I think the problem is that even with the door open the pump is still running, for some reason it is not switching off. I have forced the door switch at the top closed and the lights on the buttons and program display go out so I presume the switch in the door works. My questions are..

    1. Is the switch / door interlock at the top of the door the only door interlock or is there one or more in the main housing

    2. If the door switch is faulty would this prevent the D/W going to the next cycle?

Are there any drawings or photos of the dishwasher online – Im a spark by trade and used to work on catering equipment such as Winterhalter but before I start trying to strip the machine I would prefer to have an idea of were things are or how to access the various components

    Thanks for your help

    Harry

Flood protection system will by-pass door switch if activated; therefore you have water in the base under the machine. Power off, drain out and find the leak.
