ParticipantHi,
just had an engineer out to finally look at the dishwasher and he basically says it requires a new PCB. He quoted that all in all it could cost £200 and that afterwards the motor may go as he “replaces about 3 a week” and that could cost more again.
With Xmas coming up and 3 lots of family coming over 3 days (about 30 people) we’re thinking of just biting the bullet and just getting a new one.
The only problem is it’s an integrated one and we have no instructions on the size or how it is installed.
Ideally we’ll just go to Currys or somewhere and get them to take our old one out, dispose of it, and fit a new one – and a must would be that the existing facia could be used on the front of the new one -then walk away. And keep my Mrs happy.
Does anyone have any ideas of the size of it? Or a decent replacement that could just be slotted in. Ideally it would be a decent make, but I have no idea.
I know Currys etc aren’t the most favoured places around, but with work keeping me away for the next 2 days and beng so close to Xmas we dont really have the time to investigate lots of different options. We’re at the stage now where we just need to get this over and done with as quickly as possible. For my Mrs’ peace of mind.
Willing to have a look a a wide price range really.
Any help/recommendations appreciated – or if anyone knows anywhere around Hamilton/Glasgow that could help let me know and I’ll stay away from the majors
Cheers
Billy

Machine is designed to fit an opening 600w x 850h. Your current machine is 550 mm deep.
Curry’s will neither remove nor fit an integrated appliance; or even offer much in the way of choice.
Bosch/Neff is a decent brand, Zanussi or another Whirlpool is you don’t want to go too mad on budget. Oh, and don’t buy a dishwasher with a triangular filter in the bottom – it’ll either be Indesit or Chinese and you really don’t want to do that.

Thanks Penguin.
Thin we’re gonna go for the ADG 7560. Looks like it’ll fit OK and the price is pretty much what we were expecting really.
About £350 (just before Xmas… :bang: ) which unless anyone knows of a better deal 😉 …

That’s not bad for an integrated…….. Personally, I’d have been looking at around £500.

Hi
If I`m not too late you could try the Retra list of retailers http://www.retra.co.uk/dealers.asp they have to sign up to a service quality scheme.
