I’m wondering just why you replaced the inlet valve?
Unfortunately, wishful thinking is no substitute for METHODICAL FAULT TRACING
Plug out- check the circuit!…If the door-switch or associated circuitry is faulty, you won’t get any water in…Likewise there’s a chance of timer or control-board fault…..or a faulty/gunged-up level-sensor….(the machine thinks water’s up to level, so it won’t allow any in,-but then the cycle would probably proceed to”go through the motions”
There’s no easy short-cut that i’m aware of (but i’m not a professional repairer)

I’m working from memory here as my tech disc has borked, but this usually a sludge problem. There are three hoses running across the bottom of the machine, which fill up with goo and prevent the transfer of water from the fill matrix into the sump. A strip down and clean is in order.
Steve is right, a look at the problem before throwing money at it is always the sensible approach.
Power off if you intend to do this yourself.

Hi,
Just spent all saturday stripping down all pipes and cleaning.Largest of the 3 hoses running across the bottom was fairly gooed up.Is the fill matrix the transparent piece on the side?If so this was slightly gooed up so cleaned thoroughly.Pipes refitted plus panels, but still have the same problem
Any ideas for my next point of attack please? 😥Many thanks Glen.
