Participanthi,
well as its just taken me nearly an hour and a half to bake a bit of fish i can say that my oven isnt getting as hot as it should. I dont have a suitable thermometer to check it but as i had it cranked up to 230c and it wasnt exceptionally hot i am pretty sure i am right. The thermostat light does go out, the fan works and i can see a glow from the heater element.
I am guessing its the thermostat that is on its way out but wouldnt mind a second opinion. Also a pointer to where i can get the part would be amazing.
also this model has a triple glazed door. Its the pyroluxe model and teh last time i did this the inner glass cracked in a number of places so i had to remove. an indicator as to where i could get that would be great too.
thanks
j

Pnc number required. Too many variants.

OK, this appliance uses a PTC (Positive Temperatuer Co-efficient) sensor to detect the temperature, linked to the electronics. This means that at as the temperature rises, the resistance through the sensor rises and will be compared to as list of known values on the electronic board. They do fail, so that would be my starting point in working out what is wrong.
It’s a technically complex appliance (nowt wrong with a gas capillary thermostat in my opinion), so there are other (expensive) options, including the PCB itself.
Stay safe, power off if you intend to do this yourself.

Hi
Have exactly the same oven with the same PNC and the same problem. What spare part do I need?
Many thanks
