Hi all i am a newbie and really hope someone can give me some useful advice…..
I was given a Neff U1721 built in under oven, although this is a double oven it’s quiet compact and is designed to sit under the worktop with hot plate above. W 600mm x H 710mm x 560mm
Now my question is as i have a freestanding belling oven at the moment which is the same width as the new neff one this will slot in nicely, but what would be the best way to install this oven, will it need a housing,or simply place the oven on legs.
I was given 2 steel angled plates with the oven but not sure what these are for.
My kitchen is quiet new and modern therefore i wish to adapt the neff oven into this kitchen joining up to the existing units and installing a new worktop with electric hob.
originally, the neff oven would have been supplied with 2 brackets, which sat either side of the unit, and the oven sat on them
its as simple as even making batons on either side of the units for it to sit on… even on legs if u wanna splash the cash
either way, ull still need to secure the oven to the unit by whatever holes/fittings available
helo_75 i really appreciate the useful information, the two brackets you mentioned did indeed come with the oven, due to the measurments of the oven it will not fit into any of the domestic oven housings available off the shelf.
I think the only options are to either make a modified housing with MDF or simply raise the oven and try to build just a surround around the oven to match the kitchen colour.
