    Hi all,

Completely new to this site, but in need of help.
I have an Ariston A1435 Washing machine which is about 6 years old and has developed an error code F02 (LED flashes twice as the controller rotates like a time bomb).

To my knowledge, this is what happens :
Turn to any program and switch on – the drum fills and rotates about 3 or 4 times, then the pump kicks in and the drum empties, but during this stage the controller starts clicking and the pump still pumps even though all the water has gone. The LED flashes twice.

I’ve have tried resetting – powerring off – checked the pump for obstruction but all seems ok. I do have another slight problem in that the fabric conditioner is not being used but I guess that’s either blocked jets or faulty solenoid. Could this be causing the problem?

I can put program 8 on but only from the rinse cycle onwards and this works so I’m assuming it’s nothing to do with the motor?? I could be wrong.

Given the current climate – I’m reluctant to buy a new machine, so I’m going to try all that I can before I give up – any help appreciated.

    Thank you

It could be loose motor wiring, faulty motor or even the very dodgy main PCB.

Don’t go overboard trying to repair this machine, it just ain’t worth it. 😥

Thank you for you quick reply.

I’ve just spotted a dry joint on one of the relay legs on the main PCB. Have resoldered and it’s now (touchwood) running fine.

    Excellent forum btw.

    Thnaks once again.
