    Hi there everbody,

My 1st post to the forum so here goes.

The element has given out on my diplomat oven twice now in 2 years.
If I get a new one are they easy to fit?

Also if we decide to get a new oven I have noticed that the oven plugs into a standard 13amp plug socket. Will this effect what I buy in the future?

    Happy New Year.

I have just noticed a previous post that answered my element question (must use my eyes) But help on the 13amp plug socket would be helpful.

    😀

If it’s a single cavity oven and rated below 3000W then a 13 Amp plug is fine. Double ovens, however, must be hardwired. When both ovens are used at the same time, the current required would far exceed the design limit of a plug and socket.

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.
