Whirlpool AWG280, complaint = “Fills up with water when not in use!”
Replaced cold valve only to discover the inlet hoses were the wrong way round? When I quizzed her as to how long she’d been getting hot rinses, she said since it was installed by her husband 12 years ago!!!! 😯
She went on to say she never puts in jumpers or drip dry stuff as they always came out creased and in some cases – shrink! She just uses a short synthetics cycle for all types of washing….. :rolls:

I thought I had a good one the other day, 7 years on a bosch. same fault as yours.
I wonder if anyone can top 12 years????

Certainly had a few of these over the years too, oh well, at least the current cold fill machines should prove less of a technical challenge for the poor confused souls.. :rolls:

Had a similar one last year but a bit of lateral thinking had to go into it.
Customer complained of no heat on a hotpoint Wd. Tested it through and worked fine, checked dryer all fine. When quizzed on why she thought it wasn’t heating she pointed out that her sisters machine left the clothes nice and warm at the end of the wash programme.
Should have got two calls out of it 😥
