What does E09 fault code mean on this machine, I have fill and empty but no motor action. Its an induction motor so its not a carbon brush problem. Any help please.

Hoover stick to the same format of error coding throughout their products as a general rule. And in this as in all cases with washing machines E09 = motor/tacho fault indication. 😉

Thanks Martin, I did see that in the Whitegoods fault code booklet but did not realise they kept the same code throughout their range, it will be the module then, they are expensive, think I’ll point her to her 5 year parts cover.

9 = Integrated Circuit Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor or motor short or open circuit.

Don’t know what motor they’re using these days but the old P40/P55’s used to suffer a lot of tacho probs.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but any update on this one? I’ve got one doing the same thing.
