Hi Any Help with Whirlpool AWO 3551. Turning Selector Dial you Can Select a Programme ok. Push Start button Light Stops Flashing, But close Door and it will not start and door wont Lock Thinking “Door Switch”. It Has the 3 blue wires that go up to the Timer. Thanks

No start on current Whirlpools is often down to the motor being out of circuit. Check the motor brushes specifically. Article on brushes HERE. Machine performs a self-diagnostic check before starting, if the motor “isn’t there”, it won’t go.
Power off first.

Um, yes actually. 10lbs of dry washing = 60lbs of soggy washing. Want to haul that out?

Had Motor Out checked ok, Brushes ok like new, Armature ok. Continuity across Brushes ok. Field inc 1/2 field ok and tacho. Tried another lock still wont start. Checked for broken wires none found HELPPPPPP! Thinking Timer now any other suggestions (scrap i hear you cry)
